Ready Willing & Able wins
Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival
Sunshine Celluloid Award
This first place award was presented during the festival Luminaries Awards Gala. Producer Jeff Maynard said," We are proud to be a part of this wonderful festival and we are grateful for this honor." The film's director, Jenni Gold, and lead actress, Christopher Templeton, were also in attendance.
Festival Director, Gregory Von Hausch, stated that, "Ready Willing & Able” sold out the screening and since there was so much positive word of mouth about the film we moved their second screening to a larger theater within the AMC Coral Ridge."
In addition to sold out screenings and winning the Sunshine Celluloid award, Jenni Gold and Jeff Maynard also donated their film's (Everest & Jennings $8000 dollar) stunt wheelchair to the Miami Project to Cure paralysis, the research organization founded by former NFL star Nic Buoniconti. The presentation was held during the festival's wrap party at Planet Hollywood . Dan Castellanos, Marketing coordinator for the Miami Project, accepted the chair and commented, "Jenni's film is an exciting action film, but it also gives the audience a new perspective on disability. A person in a wheelchair saves the day. It is great fun! We are very pleased to accept their kind donation."

Director Disables AFM Stereotypes
when Showcase Entertainment takes action!
LOS ANGELES, CA – Showcase Entertainment has acquired international distribution rights to Jeff Maynard's production of Ready Willing & Able. This independent action film, which enjoyed sold out screenings and was awarded at the “Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival," will screen at the American Film Market on Thursday, February 24th - 1:00 p.m. at the AMC - 3rd street in Santa Monica.
Showcase president David Jackson states: “This film has been selling very well internationally. Buyers have expressed a desire for films that are story rich and Jeff has delivered just that."
Producer Jeff Maynard: “We have been getting a great response to the film. Apparently it is the first action film to have a wheelchair using female as the hero character. Jenni thrives on turning stereotypes upside down. She had a desire to show the world a character who, after an injury, remains as active and…deadly as ever. Jenni, whose 'director's chair' has wheels and can go seven miles per hour, was the perfect director to bring this story to life."
The film’s Rep. Jeff Dowd adds: “Jenni has not only directed a film with explosions and elaborate stunts, but she gives the audience a fresh story with an unconventional hero. Ready Willing & Able is independent action at its best.”
Ready Willing & Able stars Christopher Templeton as CIA agent, Samantha (Sam) Martin. Sam is determined to continue her career as a special agent after she is injured in the line of duty. Sam, now requiring the use of a wheelchair, embarks on an impossible and dangerous mission! Templeton who played a series lead on The Young and The Restless for eleven years and starred on prime time television shows can relate to this character's disability due to her own experience with Polio.
The film contains never-before-seen wheelchair stunts and is pitched as Mission Impossible meets Ironside or Nikita in a chair. Ms Gold comments: “We are very pleased with Showcase. They value the unique qualities of my film and are very enthusiastic regarding its worldwide appeal."

Independent Action Film
with Never Before Seen Wheelchair Stunts
Screens at the Dances With Films Festival
LOS ANGELES, CA - Ready Willing & Able has been selected as the closing film for the Dances With Films Festival. It will screen at the Laemmle Santa Monic theater on July 29th at 9:30 p.m.
This unique action film by award-winning director Jenni Gold, stars Christopher Templeton and features the music of Jesus Jones. The story revolves around a CIA agent, Samantha (Sam) Martin, who is retired from service after she is injured in the line of duty. Although Sam now must use a wheelchair, she is determined to continue her career as a special agent. After becoming entangled in a web of corruption and murder, Sam embarks on an impossible and dangerous mission!
After enjoying sold out screenings and winning an award at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Ready Willing & Able signed on well-known Producers Rep. Jeff Dowd. Dowd states, “The Santa Monica July 29th screening will be a good opportunity for LA moviegoers to see a truly unique action film. You don’t usually find explosions and elaborate stunts in small films with limited budgets, but Jenni has managed to pull it off. It has elements of a studio action film, but the difference is that it also has a story with an unusual hero. Given a bigger budget; Jenni’s film could have had even more explosions, but it could not have had more heart.”
